Giving Good connects companies and charities in over 40 cities nationwide.

Giving Good was created by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) to help corporate event organizers connect their events to charitable organizations and community projects in their destination cities. They wanted an easy-to-use, one-stop-shop where destination cities could list community projects and event planners could sign their teams up to volunteer.

The Giving Good beta site was launched in early 2016, and PCMA approached Fan & Fuel in June 2016 to design and launch their full site.

User-friendly platform makes giving back a breeze.

PCMA wanted the Giving Good platform to be simple, intuitive, and easy to use. I designed an informative, clean-looking site with plainly visible search features and clear calls to action. I also developed a robust database where destination cities can create customized profiles and upload new community outreach projects. Since the site officially launched, Fan & Fuel has also helped Giving Good with site maintenance and tech support.

As a non-profit organization, Giving Good had some specific needs, and a specific budget. I love working with non-profits, because it gives me a chance to give back, too! I took the opportunity to donate some of the design and development work, and I’m very proud to be able to continue to support Giving Good’s awesome cause.

The good keeps growing!

I worked very closely with Giving Good and PCMA to help direct their marketing efforts and make sure they were constantly attracting new destination cities and projects. By reaching out directly to cities and meeting planners, Fan & Fuel was able to position Giving Good with a strong voice in the destination marketing industry. Since the site’s launch, Giving Good has proven to be so successful that other leading destination marketing companies, including Destination Marketing Association International and The Center for Association Leadership, have asked to come on board as partners.

Giving Good’s initial goal was to get 20 destination cities in their first three years; with my help, the site had over 40 cities in its database within just the first six months! And the good continues to grow – Giving Good averages one new project added to its database every single day!
